Where I Put My Energy

My Intention for 2026 is to consciously choose where I put my energy.

Our energy is our currency.

It shows up as our focus, our attention, our presence.

And it is incredibly precious.

So often, we give it away without noticing -

to distractions, to drama, to situations, people,

or conversations that don’t actually nourish us.

Our focus goes to places we don’t even like, yet we keep entertaining them.

This year, I want to pause and ask myself more often

Does this deserve my energy?

I want to choose my focus more wisely..

Who I spend time with.

Which projects I say yes to.

What conversations I participate in.

What I allow to shape my inner world.

Paying attention to where I put my energy helps me stay aligned, grounded, and clear.

It helps me create a life that feels nourishing rather than draining.

This year for me is all about conscious choice.

Less autopilot

More intention

Because where our energy goes, our life follows.

Consciously choosing where we put our energy is important because our energy is limited, and whatever we give our focus and attention to tends to grow and shape our inner world.

Here’s why it matters so much:

1. Energy follows attention

What you focus on gets amplified. When your energy constantly goes to stress, fear, other people’s expectations, or old patterns, those states become stronger. When you choose to direct it toward what nourishes you, you create more clarity, calm, and alignment.

2. It protects your nervous system

Constantly reacting, overgiving, or being “on” keeps the body in survival mode. Choosing where your energy goes helps regulate your nervous system, allowing more safety, presence, and capacity instead of chronic overwhelm.

3. It creates choice instead of autopilot

Without awareness, we run on habits, conditioning, and unconscious patterns. Conscious energy choice brings you out of reaction and into response. It’s the difference between living on default and living intentionally.

4. It strengthens self-trust and boundaries

Every time you choose where your energy goes, you are saying: my needs, values, and limits matter. This builds self-respect and clearer boundaries - internally and externally.

5. It shapes your reality over time

Your days are made up of small energy decisions. Where you place your energy consistently becomes your life. Conscious choice allows your life to reflect what truly matters to you, not just what is loud, urgent, or familiar.

Your energy is your most valuable resource. Choosing where it goes is choosing how you feel, how you live, and who you become.
